Position

The Technical Consultant is a customer-interfacing role that couples technical and customer relationship skills to successfully implement the product offerings. The Technical Consultant will work within defined project teams to perform the technical implementation and necessary application configuration and development outlined during customer requirements meetings. Reporting to an EMEA Portfolio Project Manager within Professional Services located in Germany, the Technical Consultant will be responsible for completing tasks on one or more concurrent projects and reporting status to the assigned Project Manager.

Primary responsibilities

  • Work with the Technical Lead/Business Analyst to translate the customer requirements into a working solution.
  • Provide technical support to the customer during the implementation phase.
  • Assist with the installation of the software
  • Provide technical training to the clients technical staff
  • Provide on-site support to the client during the testing and go-live phases and ensure a successful deployment

Required Skills/Experience

  • B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2 years+ experience working with VB.NET
  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
  • Experience with VB6, c#, XML, XSL
  • Experience with SAP ECC6 and Netweaver Integration a big plus
  • At least 2 yeas of hands on experience with the implementation of enterprise commercial business applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

.NET/C#/C++ Analyst Programmer - Berkshire

Description: 

An exciting role has become available involving the design, development, maintenance and testing of company software products, primarily targeted at the laboratory automation market.

Essential core Skills:

  • A firm understanding of object-oriented and test-driven software development
  • Experience designing and coding distributed desktop and web applications (preferably ASP.NET)
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, Linq, SQL Server and Oracle
  • Good experience with .NET 3.5
  • The primary development language is C#: must have several years' experience of and be proficient at least to the level of C#3
  • C++ competence with Win32 applications will be required. The ability to maintain C++ applications is essential.

Other Skills:

  • Competence with other current popular languages will be beneficial
  • Scripting skills (eg Windows Scripting, Powershell) and experience with MSBuild and MSTest or other equivalent tools will be an advantage
  • Experience working with, or implementing, laboratory data-management applications will be a considerable benefit
  • A good understanding of laboratory testing practices will be an advantage
  • Own transport is essential due to the company's location.
